I am a photographer, journalist and reviewer of cameras and photographic equipment. I’ve been testing camera gear from all the major manufacturers since January 2004.  I was Amateur Photographer magazine’s Technical Editor and for the last five and half years I’ve been Head of Testing for Future Publishing’s photography Portfolio. At Future I write, organise and oversee reviews for Digital Camera, Professional Photography, NPhoto, Photoplus, Photography Week and Practical Photoshop magazines as well as the Digital Camera World and Techradar websites.

I’ve also written numerous news and photographic technique articles, covered product launches and major photographic events such as Photokina, PMA, CES and The Photography Show, produced advertorials, generated social media content and assisted with product development – cameras, accessories, magazines and websites.

However, after nearly six fantastic years at Future I have decided it’s time for the next stage of my career and I’m going freelance. My last day at Future will be June 24th. If you have a project that you would like me to help with, or if you would like me to review some kit, please get in touch.

I’m based just outside Reading, near Henley on Thames, not far from London and Oxford.
